Are all 5 knives full tang?

Yes. Every knife in this set features full tang construction, meaning the steel runs continuously from blade tip to handle end. This gives each knife superior balance, strength, and longevity compared to partial tang designs.

What steel is used and what is the hardness?

The blades are forged from high-carbon stainless steel with a Rockwell hardness of HRC 55–58. This range is ideal for kitchen use: hard enough to hold a sharp edge through daily cooking, and tough enough to resist chipping under heavy tasks like cleaving.

Does the set come with a storage solution?

Yes — a premium leather roll kit is included with every set. It holds all 5 knives securely, protects the blades, and rolls up compactly for storage or travel.

Is this set suitable as a gift?

Absolutely. The leather roll serves as both storage and presentation packaging. This set is a popular choice for wedding gifts, housewarming presents, culinary school graduation gifts, and professional chef milestones.

Will the engraving wear off over time?

No. The engraving is etched directly into the steel, not a surface coating or print. With proper care such as hand washing and no abrasive scrubbers, the engraving will remain crisp and clear for the life of the knife.

Can I sharpen these knives at home?

Yes. A whetstone with 1000 and 3000 grit is recommended. The HRC 55–58 steel responds well to whetstone sharpening and is easy to maintain at home. Avoid pull-through sharpeners, which remove too much material and can damage the edge geometry.

Are these knives made by hand or machine?

Each knife is individually handcrafted. The engraving and file work are done by hand, so minor variations in pattern and finish exist between sets. This makes every set genuinely unique.

What is the blade length of the chef knife?

The chef knife features a 6.5" blade with a 4.75" handle, making it a versatile mid-size chef knife suitable for most kitchen tasks including dicing, mincing, and slicing.
